For those who have lost a loved one, the holidays can sometimes be a difficult time of year. A Boise area special event celebrates the lives of those who are no longer here, welcoming anyone who feels they need it at this time of year.
On the day of the Tree of Remembrance ceremony, Meridian Library District’s Cherry Lane location will welcome members of the public for a set of activities that will include live music from local performers. There will also be a make and take crafting table, and there is no charge to get involved with the occasion.
The attendees will begin crafting ornaments – one to take home, one to hang on the Tree of Remembrance. After this, there will be a musical performance by Blaze & Kelly, which will be followed by more tree decorating. The tree will remain in the library throughout the month of December.
This event, which is supported by Harrison’s Host Hospice and Jayker Re-Sale Nursery, can help to bring some light to a time of the year that can be really difficult for those who are struggling with grief. Flyers can be distributed to different locations throughout the community to make people aware that this type of celebration has been planned, and a flyer printing company can both design and Print them.
The Cherry Lane branch of the Meridian Library District has planned its Tree of Remembrance on Wednesday, December 4, starting at 7:00 pm.
