Plant fair and sale set to spring up

With spring in the air and the warmer days ahead, green-fingered Marietta folk might be tempted to see what they can pick up at a ‘Garden Fair and Plant Sale’ taking place later this week.

Hosted at the Jim R. Miller Park Equestrian Center, this will be the first time the annual plant sale is being held separately from the annual garden tour. A fundraising event, people of all ages can enjoy walking through the area and viewing the garden items on display.

The Cobb County Master Gardeners may have used poster printing to inform people in the area about this event, which used to support Cob County’s educational gardens.

The sale lasts for two days and features hundreds of plants presented by the master gardeners. This show also has a collection of items from various vendors, including botanical Apparel, birdhouses, planters, trellises, sculptures, yard art, rain barrels, compost and annual herbs. All this will be overseen by master gardeners happy to lend their advice and recommendations.

Admission to the sale is free and all are welcome, whether they are new to gardening or experienced horticulturalists. It will all be happening this Friday, April 25, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and Saturday, April 26, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Center is located at 2245 Callaway Road SW in Marietta, Georgia.
