Pet lovers living in Marietta will want to make a note in their diaries of a unique parade that is set to embark next month.
The TrailFest Fur Folly Pet Costume Parade, which is being organized by the Marietta Arts Council, will embark down the planned parade route soon, providing a memorable experience for pets, their owners, and spectators lining the route. The event will provide a setting to unleash fun for furry friends, and costumes are encouraged for pets and owners.
The parade will follow the scenery of the MR2 Trail, with the journey starting at the Lewis Dog Park and ending at Atherton Square in downtown Marietta. The estimated distance of the parade is one mile, and pet owners participating in it will want to bring water to keep their furry friends hydrated. Banner printing is a memorable and creative way to welcome participants and their pets to the end of the route at such events.
Participants can also enter the post-parade costume contest to determine which guests and pets had the day’s best costumes. Winners will receive prizes for their creativity and efforts. All pets must be non-aggressive to participate.
The pet parade will be held on Saturday, May 10th, with check-in starting at Lewis Dog Park in Marietta at 9:30 AM. Registration is open to interested parties online.
