A group of musicians are set to play a show in Marietta in mid-November.
The Georgia Philharmonic is an orchestra formed after a departure from the Orchestra Atlanta board. The members came from what was originally called the Sandy Springs Chamber Orchestra, which was created in 1984, before the relocation and change to Orchestra Atlanta in 1993. The shift to the Georgia Philharmonic was completed in 2001. With their new board being led by musicians, the group has continued to deliver high-quality entertainment.
The Pops Concert is a show where the group performs songs from the scores of a variety of popular films such as Jurassic Park, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, Frozen, ET, Star Wars, and How to Train Your Dragon. They will also play Rossini’s “William Tell Overture.” Clinton Smith will serve as the conductor for the event.
Tickets range in price from $10 to $50, with the $50 price tag being a “family pass,” which means it covers the admission of a pair of adults and at most three kids. These can be purchased through Eventbrite. Also available are bundles of five tickets for between $40 and $100. These are billed as a “value pack” or “season tickets,” allowing for someone to attend multiple concerts at a cheaper cost.
The venue for the show is the Lassiter High School Concert Hall. Poster printing is often used to promote events similar to this one. The concert will run from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm on Saturday, November 19.
