Marietta wraps up the season

Marietta will be ending most of its holiday season events just before Christmas Day.

A Christmas Tradition will have its last performance the day before Christmas Eve. The high-energy musical revue is a local tradition as costumed dancers and singers perform to traditional and not-so-traditional holiday music.

The Christmas season would not be complete without at least one viewing of Frank Copra’s Christmas Classic ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’, and everyone will have the opportunity as there will be a continuous screening of the film for one entire day. Guests are invited to wear their best pajamas and come early for the singalong and holiday pre-show. Drinks and popcorn will be served.

Little ones will have one last chance to meet Prince Goodtidings and Princess Joy of the Grand Yuletide Ball, see the Nutcracker ‘Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy’ hear a story by Sir Randall and enjoy treats, juice, and tea at the Christmas Royal Tea and Grand Yuletide Ball. After the tea, there will be carols, a dance party and photo ops with the royal couple. Children may want to take these pictures to local Print shops for poster printing.

Christmas Tradition (3:00 pm, December 23) and the continuous showing of ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ (December 20) will be at the Strand Theater, 117 North Park Square.

Christmas Royal Tea and Grand Yuletide Ball will be at the Strand Theatre also. Last available tickets will be for the 11:00 am performance, Sunday, December 23.
