Marietta is holding an outdoor event to help a local exhibition space raise funds in mid-October.
The Chalktoberfest combines several activities into one festival. These activities include chalk art, a market of artisan work, other vendors, drink sampling including 25 wines and more than 120 craft beers, interactive experiences, food, and live music.
Proceeds raised from the event will be sent to Marietta Cobb Museum of Art. The museum aims to give locals access to art spanning across American history, while also hosting exciting and educational events.
While attending the festival and partaking in most activities is free, access to the drink tastings comes with a ticket price, which is $45 online prior to the festival, increasing to $50 on the day of the event. To purchase tickets for the tasting ahead of the event, guests can find a link to Big Tickets on the Chalktoberfest webpage. In addition to unlimited sample access, buyers will get a souvenir in the form of a cup with the event’s Logo Design. Due to the drinks being varieties of wine and beer, participants will need to be at least 21, and also bring a valid ID. The event will be running from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm, with the end time described as a “hard stop.” Attendees can visit Marietta Square for the festival on Saturday, October 14.
