The Marietta Police Athletic League is hosting its 5th Shamrock Shuffle 5k in mid-March. This year’s race will be a virtual event.
Registration is $30 and sign up will be available until March 5. Participants will have eight days to complete their runs and times may be uploaded on the Marietta Shamrock Shuffle 5K website until March 13 at noon.
From 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm that afternoon (March 6th) there will be an in-person Pot of Gold Celebration that will take place at a location being called “Emerald Isle.”
At 4:00 pm, the welcome, invocation, introduction of Board and Committee and vendor introductions will begin. Packets will be available for pickup at 4:30 pm. There will be photos taken and entertainment during this time. Awards for best costume and race category winners will be presented starting at 5:30 pm and closing remarks will be at 6:00 pm.
Runners will be given gift Bags containing racing T-Shirts sporting this year’s graphic design and other undisclosed swag.
The location of the Pot of Gold Celebration will be revealed a couple of days before the event.
All proceeds will go to supporting summer camp activities and after school programs for Cobb County children from ages 5 years to 17.
Marietta Shamrock Shuffle 5k will begin Saturday, March 6 and end the following Saturday, March 13.
