Marietta Visitors Bureau will present its 27th Annual Taste of Marietta toward the end of April. The event was still going ahead at the time of writing.
The festival will be free and tastes will cost between $1 and $5, with payment only accepted in cash. Previous years have seen over 100,000 people attend.
This is an opportunity to showcase Marietta and Cobb County restaurants. Over 70 caterers and restaurants will be offering their specialties. The site will also have over 10 food trucks and carts with festival-type goodies.
Five live music stages will feature local artists performing a wide array of music genres. The Glover Park Bandstand will begin performances at 11:00 am and end the last one at 7:00 pm. At sunset, Glover Park Main Stage will hold a free concert.
The Chef Spotlight Stage will begin at 11:00 am. Well-known chefs from around the region will be giving cooking tips and demonstrations. Meanwhile the Cobb Life Stage will have its own schedule of performers from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm.
Kids’ Alley will host games, moonwalks, and inflatables for the children. A Sports Corner is also available to keep children busy.
Towns that sponsor events such as this often have local photographers take plenty of pictures. Many take these photos to local Print shops to be included in the following year’s visitor’s guide brochure printing.
Taste of Marietta will be Sunday, April 26 from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm in Glover Park, 50 Park Square, and around Historic Marietta Square.
