November is panning out to be a busy month for Marietta runners.
The Northwest Georgia Heart Walk will take place from 8:00 am until noon on November 2 at Marietta Square, 4 Depot Street. This is the premiere fundraiser for the local American Heart Association. Post-run activities will be in the square.
The following Saturday, November 9, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, the Dead Band Running 5K will have a Day-of-the-Dead theme and begin with the school’s drum line at Pope High School, 3001 Hembree Road. Band students will be playing high-energy music along the course. Afterwards, there will be free food, photo opportunities, balloon artist, tattoos and face painting.
Early Bird Turkey Trot will be November 23 from 8:00 am until 11:00 am in 200 Chastain Meadows Ct NW in Kennesaw. Participants are asked to bring nonperishable food items for Blessings in a Backpack. The MS Center of Atlanta will also be a beneficiary of the run.
The 17th Annual Gobble Jog will be on Thanksgiving Day starting at noon in Downtown Marietta. Proceeds will go to Must Ministries.
Lights of Life 5K and 1K will end the month on November 30 from 4:30 pm until 6:30 pm at University Marietta, 1269 Barclay Circle.
Registration for running events like these usually includes shirts displaying the event Logo Design.
