The City of Marietta will hold its annual 4th in the Park Celebration on Thursday, July 4th.
The Let Freedom Ring Parade will begin at 10:00 am. Two thousand participants in 110 entries and over 30,000 spectators are expected to be there. The parade will step off at Roswell Street Baptist Church and end at North Marietta Parkway.
The festival will begin right after the parade. Festivities will include a Kids’ Zone, food concession stands and carnival games.
A large Arts and Craft Show will be running at the same time. Eighty artists and craft people will be displaying and selling their creations. People who sell at events such as this usually bring plenty of Business Cards with them to pass out to those passers-by who may want to get in touch with them at a later date for other pieces or custom work.
At noon the first free concert will feature Scott Thompson. The Bell Ringing Ceremony will start at 2:00 pm. At 2:30 pm, the Atlanta Concert Band will be giving a performance and at 7:00 pm Chris Stalcup will be onstage. The original and official Jimmy Buffett tribute band A1A will perform from 8:00 pm until 9:30 pm. The evening will end with a bang as fireworks begin at dark.
The City of Marietta’s 4th in the Park will go from 10:00 am until after the fireworks on Marietta Square.
