Marietta Food Tours will be having its annual Marietta Square Food Tour very shortly.
This will be a walking tour of Marietta eateries, bakeries, and specialty shops that are locally owned. Seven different culinary locations will be offering 11 beverage and food tastings of signature food samplings, sweet treats, crafted coffees, and drinks that will add up to a full meal. Some culinary stops along the way will be the WR Social House, Paul’s Pot Pies, the Marietta Wine Market, and Miss Mamie’s.
A tour guide will accompany the walkers through Glover Park, as well as Marietta Square, and will point out our town’s cultural landmarks. Some of these will be Marietta’s first fire station, an architectural discussion of the Murray House, and the Strands Theater. Locals will discuss the town’s history and unique historical architecture.
Marietta Food Tours will also provide recommendations for things to do, local entertainment, specialty stores, a map, and guest coupons in its Marietta Square Guide Brochures. The easy and flat 1.5-mile stroll will take about three hours. There will be at least four seated areas.
Those interested must purchase the $45 tickets beforehand at the Marietta Food Tours website.
The Marietta Square Food tour will be Saturday, May 20 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm in Marietta Square. Attendees will meet outside the Australian Bakery, 48 S. Park Square NE.
