The children here in Marietta will have to choose between a pair of egg-hunting events
During the first hour of the Cobb County Easter Egg Hunt, children can enjoy live entertainment, art activities, inflatables and seasonal treats from local vendors. The first hunt will start an hour later. Each hunt will be for a different age group, starting at age three and under and continued up to age 10. The final hunt of the day will be the Purple hunt, which will include all ages. Admission and parking will be free. Children must bring their own baskets.
The Northeast Cobb Community Egg Drop will be going on too, and will include a helicopter dropping 100,000 eggs and candy items onto the field. Before the hunts, children can get their faces painted, and pose for pictures with the Easter Bunny. Many parents like to take these photos to a printing company and have them made into Easter Holiday Cards. A Kids Zone will have inflatable slides suitable for all ages and bounce houses for the littlest ones.
Both events will be April 15 beginning at 10:00 am here in town. The Egg Drop will be at Sprayberry High School, 2525 Sandy Plains Road and the Cobb County Egg Hunt will be at the Al Bishop Softball Complex, 1082 Al Bishop Drive.
