Marietta celebrates the best of Greece

The 24th Annual Marietta Greek Festival is inviting people to come and celebrate the traditions, culture, and cuisine of the Mediterranean country.

An event that offers both fun and education, the organizers of this festival may have used flyer printing services to encourage people from the community and the surrounding regions to attend.

During this festival, guests will enjoy the likes of chicken oreganato, souvlaki, dolmades, spanakopita, and many other traditional Greek foods. For those who want to stick to American favorites, there will also be a special children’s menu including hot dogs, chicken, and chips.

A sample combo plate can be enjoyed by those who would like to try many of the foods. Soft drinks, Greek beer, wines, and other beverages will be on hand as well. There will be a Hellenic Dance performance several times throughout the festival, which will consist of six dance groups and feature many of the traditional dances of the country. A marketplace with numerous vendors will be on the grounds for guests’ shopping pleasure.

Admission is $4 per person, although children under 12 enter free. The Greek Festival will be happening from Friday, May 16 until Sunday, May 18 at the Holy Transfiguration Green Orthodox Church located at 3431 Trickurn Road.
