Marietta’s 44th Annual Harvest Fest is scheduled for mid-October.
Dry goods, handmade crafts and art will available from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm at the Harvest Fest Market.
Entries in the Scarecrows in the Square contest will be displayed around the venue. Awards will be given in Best of Show and winners in Non-Profit Organization, Business and Club/School categories. Some scarecrow displays will have kid activities or treats offered by the scarecrow’s creation organization.
From 10:00 am until 2:00 pm, city vehicles such as police cars, firetrucks, tow trucks and tractors will be on display for everyone to get up close. Parents often take pictures of their youngsters “driving” vehicles like these at events such as this and take the photos to Stationery printers to be made as part of the family yearly Calendars.
Marietta children 12 years old and younger are invited to attend the Halloween Happenings Kid’s Festival in their Halloween costumes and to bring their treat Bags. They can enjoy candy, inflatable houses, fall-themed activities and carnival games.
For the costume contest, contestants up to 12 years old are to be at the Glover Park stage by 1:30 pm. Categories will be Under One Year, 2, 3,4, 5, 6, 7-8, 9 through 10 and 11 through 12 year olds. The pet costume competition will start at 3:00 pm.
Harvest Fest will be in Glover Park, 50 N Park Square, from 9:00 am until 5:00 am on October 17th.
