Glover Park Concert Series begins

The 2021 Glover Park Concert Series will begin at the end of May.

The series will be presented by Marietta Parks, Recreation and Facilities; the City of Marietta; and the Downtown Marietta Development Authority. National and local acts will perform on the last Friday of the month from May through September.

A variety party band, The Grapevine Band, will begin the series. The concert on June 25 will be Motown/R &B, Kasper & 911 Band and they will be followed on July 30 by the Next Level Band playing beach and oldies. Glow Band will play classic pop on August 27 and Paradocs will bring country and pop on August 28. The Big Chicken Beatle Band will end the series on September 24 with Beatles hits.

Lawn chairs and blankets may be brought into the park, and tables and chairs may be set up on North and East Park Square on the street.

Although the event will be free, a few tables are available for a fee. Tables for six and street-side tables for eight cost $55, while in-park seating for eight costs $65. Each concert night from 7:15 pm to 7:45 pm, judges will be going from table to table looking for winners in the Spirited Award and Table Decorating contest.

The 2021 Glover Park Concert Series poster printing artist is Marietta’s own Ted Azriel.

Glover Park Concert Series in Marietta Square will begin May 28. All concerts will start at 8:00 pm.
