Easter brings egg hunt and drop

The Marietta community will offer an egg hunt and an egg drop in mid-April.

The Marietta Community Egg Hunt will have over 60,000 candy items out on the practice fields for various hunts. The event will also feature games, food, activities, and music. Proceeds will go to education programs for Marietta City Schools offered thorough the Marietta Business Association. The festivities will run from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday, April 15 at Marietta High School, 1171 Whitlock Ave. NW, and both the event and parking will be free.

The next morning, beginning at 10:00 am, everyone is invited to attend the Northeast Cobb Community Egg Drop. Tens of thousands of eggs will be lowered from a passing helicopter over the Sprayberry High School football fields. There will also be a kids’ zone with bounce houses and inflatable slides for the younger crowd, face painting, candy, and activities for older children. Food can be purchased and proceeds will go to Kell and Sprayberry High Schools.

From 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, the Easter Bunny will be available for free photos. Families that have photos taken at events such as this often take the pictures to local Stationery printers to be made into custom Easter cards or added to family Calendars.

The Northeast Cobb Community Egg Drop will be held Saturday, April 16 at Sprayberry High School, on Sandy Plains Road.
