The Orange Duffel Bag Initiative is presenting its 8th Annual Charity Golf Classic at the end of March.
Guest for the event will be Coach Bill Curry, inaugural head coach and architect of Georgia State football program. Gillman Insurance is sponsoring a $25,000 cash prize for any golfer hitting a “Hole in One.” There will be a putting contest before going to the greens, and the tournament will be in a scramble format.
Single golfer tickets will be $150, a pair of tickets will be $300, foursomes will be $500. Hole sponsorships are available at the $7,500 Platinum, $15,000 Diamond, $5,000 Gold, $3,000 Putting Contest, $1,000 Bronze, and $500 Hole Sponsor levels.
Golfers will be paired in carts and served boxed breakfasts, and given tickets to the awards luncheon. Each participant will be given goody Bags containing masks and antibacterial gel, along with local business Promotional Products.
Proceeds from this event will go to supporting the Orange Duffel Bag Initiative. This program helps homeless people, foster care, and extreme poverty-stricken high school and college students to continue their education. This includes purchasing laptops for students completing the organization’s comprehensive coaching programs and awarding scholarships.
The 8th Annual ODBI Charity Golf Classic will be Monday, March 29 from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm at Indian Hills Country Club, 4001 Clubland Drive, Marietta.
