In January, Macon's Tubman African American Museum will host its signature charity event, All That Jazz Concert and Ball, to raise money for the museum and its programming.
Named after the heroic Harriet Tubman, the Tubman African American Museum is the country’s largest museum dedicated to educating the public about African American history, art, and culture. It was founded in 1981 by Father Richard Keil of Saint Peter Claver Catholic Church and serves as an integral cultural and educational resource for not only Macon but the entire state of Georgia.
Headliner for the jazz concert will be Grammy winner and jazz legend Smokey Robinson. Balcony tickets for the concert are available for online purchase, or can be bought in person at the ticket box at the Macon Coliseum box office on select dates. However, gala table seating will only be available for purchase directly through the Tubman Museum. Those interested can Contact Denise Vanzant at (478) 845-3850.
Charity galas often send out personalized Invitations to sponsors and special guests. Local Stationery printers can help organizers with creating and printing such Invitations.
All That Jazz Concert and Ball is scheduled for January 22, beginning at 6:00 pm. Dinner for those purchasing table tickets will be served at 7:00 pm. The Macon City Auditorium is located at 415 1st St, Macon. Concert-only balcony tickets can be purchased from Ticketmaster for $75.
