The Masonic Home of Georgia will host its annual 5K Road and Trail Run, a community event aimed at raising funds to support children in need.
The course is designed to welcome participants of all levels, featuring tree-lined paths and rolling terrain across the organization’s Macon campus.
People all ages are encouraged to join in, whether they wish to walk or run. Categories for awards will be divided by age in five-year increments, beginning with ages 10 and under and extending to 70 and older. Additional honors will be presented to the male and female top finishers, as well as the leading masters division participants. Each registrant will receive a race t-shirt.
Registration for the event is set at $40 per person. Participants who register early may save up to $10. Proceeds from the race will directly benefit the Masonic Home’s mission, which has provided residential care, meals, and educational resources for children from struggling families for more than 120 years.
In addition to online outreach, organizers should note that poster printing remains a useful way to spread the word locally and ensure strong community attendance.
The 5K is scheduled for Saturday, October 11th, starting at 8 am. Check-in and packet pickup begin at 7 am, with the race starting at 8 am. Awards and a post-race gathering will follow at 9:30 am. The event will take place at the Masonic Home of Georgia Roundabout, 1417 Nottingham Dr, Macon, Georgia.
