Taco and tequila combo back for third year

A large-scale food and nightlife event is scheduled to return to downtown Macon, bringing together local venues for a multi-stop experience focused two Mexican favorites.

Organized by Bar Crawl USA, the third annual crawl invites participants to explore a variety of bars and restaurants while enjoying curated food tastings and drink promotions centered on tacos and tequila.

The event begins with registration at a central location, where attendees receive a map and redemption tokens. These are exchanged for tacos at participating stops, while the locations provide access to discounted beverages.

Guests move between locations at their own pace, creating a flexible route through the downtown district. Entertainment includes live DJs, bands, and event photography, adding to the social atmosphere. A post-event survey allows participants to vote on standout food, drinks, and venues. Organizers of events such as this one often rely on poster printing to display maps and other essential event information.

Ticket options vary based on access level. A standard Taco and Tequila Crawl ticket is priced at $34, and sales end on May 2. VIP admission includes added perks such as an extra taco, early entry, and a themed T-shirt, with costs ranging from $50.92 to $54.30. The event is restricted to individuals age 21 and older.

The Macon Taco and Tequila Bar Crawl will be on Saturday, May 2 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Check-in will take place at Cashman’s Pub, 370 Cherry Street.
