A two-day professional education program focused on complete denture fabrication will be held in Macon.
Offering clinicians and support staff an opportunity to refine technical skills through a combination of instruction and practical application, the course will be led by Dr. James L. Cassidy Jr. and is designed for dentists, assistants, and laboratory technicians seeking hands-on experience in prosthetic dentistry.
The curriculum focuses on modern approaches to denture construction, incorporating evolving techniques built on established methodologies. Attendees will engage in sessions covering baseplate creation, occlusal rim development, and overall workflow in prosthetic fabrication. Support staff will also receive targeted instruction alongside experienced professionals to strengthen collaborative practice.
The daily schedule includes morning and afternoon sessions, with provided meals during designated breaks. Instruction is structured to balance theory with applied practice, allowing participants to observe and perform key aspects of the process under supervision.
Registration pricing is set at $2,200 for dentists and $1,100 for assistants and laboratory technicians. Participants will receive up to 12 continuing education credits, all of which are accredited through the Academy of General Dentistry. The program will also include work with a live patient to illustrate real-world procedures.
Specialized training programs like this one often include traditional marketing strategies such as poster printing to inform professionals within the field.
The course will take place June 12 through 13, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm each day at Cassidy Dental Associates, 148 College St, Macon.
