Climate techies to host monthly networking event
ClimATL, a group of climate-oriented professionals who are “passionate about using technology and innovation” to protect the environment, has announced a series of monthly networking events.
Offering like-minded individuals the chance to network and potentially work together, these meetings do not have any formal program. Instead, event officials describe the atmosphere as “laid back” and part of an effort to build a closer network of individuals who have the future of the planet in their minds. Future events may have speakers, a formal program and activities.
Event organizers will also be on hand to discuss ways climate-interested individuals can potentially leverage their technological ideas for businesses uses. Available resources that can be explored include a climate solutions database.
This networking event is intentionally meant to expose individuals to people who may work together, so attendees are encouraged bring an open mind, a networking pitch, and business cards.
The upcoming event is on May 7, and will run from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. It is at Rivian 6 at 75 Ponce De Leon Avenue Northeast, #Suite E179B, Atlanta – just outside of Decatur. Admission is free, but attendees are encouraged to join ClimATL for $10 a month. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Registration is not required, but it is encouraged.
