South Daytona runs in moonlight

AdventHealth 6th Annual Moonlight Beach Run will be taking place here in the South Daytona area in mid-January.

Participants may opt to run the 5k, 10k or 15k Bandshell Challenge, and the courses will all be out-and-backs on Daytona Beach's hard-packed sand.

Registration for the 5k run/walk will be $42 for adults and $37 for senior citizens ages 70 and up and kids ages 3 through 17 and 10k registration will be $55 and $50 for kids and senior citizens. The 15K Bandshell Challenge for those running both the 5k and 10k will cost $89 for adults, and $84 for others. Virtual 5k or 10k registrations will be available for $39 and a 15k Bandshell Challenge virtual run will cost $65.

Family and friends discounts are also available and those referring 5 friends will get a $20 refund. There will be registration available on race day.

Swag will include finisher medals (turtle emblems for the 5k, dolphins for the 10k) and long sleeve lightweight race shirts for the 5k and 10k runners. A special Bandshell Challenger pink flamingo medal will await anyone finishing both races.

Paper products such as bibs and directional signage used at events like this are often printed at local printing services.

The AdventHealth Moonlight Beach Run will be Saturday, January 10th beginning and ending at the Daytona Beach Bandshell, 70 Boardwalk, Daytona Beach. The 10k will begin at 4:00 pm with the 5k following at 5:45 pm.
