Residents of South Daytona may have begun clearing their schedules to participate in an event designed to clean up local beaches.
This one-day activity is open to everyone, and it has been created to foster a sense of community-wide responsibility.
Coastal Cleanup 2026 has become an annual event, and it stresses the importance of developing environmentally sustainable approaches to protect the maritime environment. As the branding suggests, participants will stroll along local beaches and collect any refuse they encounter. This garbage can then be disposed of properly or recycled to create new products.
This festival is being sponsored by Volusia County International Coastal Cleanup, and similar gatherings are regularly hosted in nearby towns. Organizers also claim that keeping beaches clean is an excellent way to encourage tourism and to contribute to the local economy.
Events underpinned by sustainable themes will often choose their advertising techniques carefully. Environmentally friendly methods may include flyer printing with the use of recycled paper or handing out Brochures that have been created with biodegradable materials.
Coastal Cleanup 2026 is being held on Saturday, September 19 from 8 AM to 11 AM. Participants are asked to arrive at 611 South Atlantic Avenue in advance. There is no charge to attend, and the first 1,000 attendees will receive a free gift to the end of the day that has not yet been specified.Get a Free Quote for Brochures
