Many runners/walkers here in South Daytona will be heading to the 57th Annual Easter Beach Run coming in early April.
Events for adults will include the 4 Mile Run/Walk ($35), and the 2-mile Run/Walk ($35). Kids 50-yard Run Fun for children from 3 to 5 years old, the 100 yards for kids from 6 to 7 years old and a 1/4 mile for 8- to 9-year-old will cost $20 each. Swag for both the adult and kids' races will be finisher medals and event shirts.
Race events like this often get their race shirts printed at nearby Print shops.
Awards will go to top overall males and females in both the 4-mile and 2-mile and to the first, second and third place finishers in 16 age groups for the 4-mile and 11 age categories for the 2-mile.
There will be a DJ and music at the finish line and free pictures.
The course for the 4-mile and 2-mile will be a out-and-back route along scenic Daytona Beach.
On race day, race packets will be available from 6:.5 am to 7.25 am at the park. At 6.45 am there will be a line dance warm up, and the adult races will begin at 7.30 am. The kids' races will begin at 8.30 am.
The 57th Annual Easter Beach Run will take place April Saturday April 4th beginning at the Bandshell at 70 Boardwalk, Daytona Beach.
