Milford to host downtown Halloween shopping party

Fall is here, and in Milford, that means it is time for a weekend full of thrills and chills for local shoppers.

The community’s downtown business association’s membership has plans in the works for a spooky community event, and the fun will have a Halloween theme. The function will be family-friendly, and will encourage everyone who comes out to explore what the neighborhood has on offer for them.

The businesses that choose to take part will give themselves a spooky makeover, and kids can dress up and do some trick or treating at each of these establishments. The Milford Public Library will offer a celebrity Halloween story read by radio personality Brian Smith, and with food trucks offering an assortment of treats, everyone will be able to warm up with a hot meal or snack.

A day like this provides an added incentive for residents to get to know their local small businesses. A printing services company will be able to provide decor, specially designed Packaging materials and even reusable Shopping Bags for the trick-or-treaters to use while they shell out at the participating shops.

The Downtown Milford business association will be showcasing its not-so-scary side on October 30. The day will run from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm, and anyone who requires more information can find it on the activity’s website.
