A Milford company wants to help everyone enjoy the experience of canoeing by moonlight for themselves.
Scoot and Paddle, which is a local source for gear such as paddleboards, kayaks, canoes and scooters, will be leading a group of paddlers on a night-time excursion. The organizers noted that experience is a must, and the participants can choose to rent a watercraft or bring their own if they prefer.
The attendees will head out at sunset and wait for the moon to rise. Each participant will need to supply their own headlamp, and reservations are mandatory. A personal flotation device (PFD) is required, as well as a whistle, for anyone who chooses to use their own canoe. Reservations are needed to secure a spot, and tickets are $50 for anyone who rents a craft and $30 for those who opt to bring their own.
Offering a special experience like this gives a company a fun way to let the public know about what it has to offer, and a poster printing company will be able to lend a hand. Its graphic design team can prepare attention-grabbing marketing materials.
The Full Buck Moon Paddle will be hitting the water at 28 Naugatuck Avenue on July 23. The canoes will be pushing off at 7:15 pm and making their return at approximately 9:00 pm.
