Milford sets date for community shred

An event that will see documents and electronics disposed of safely and securely is set for Milford, and the service will be offered on an “as you wait” basis.

The Rotary Club of Milford will be offering a community shred, paired with a collection of unwanted electronics for disposal. It will be available for three hours on its scheduled date, and the monies raised will be passed along to local service groups and projects.

This drive-through activity will accept Bags and banker’s Boxes of documents for shredding, and if needed, the containers can be returned upon request. The personnel on hand will remove the materials from the customer’s trunk or cargo area, and the cost per bag is $5. Banker’s Boxes will be $10, and the fee to recycle a piece of electronic equipment is $20. Bulk quantities of small items may be accepted upon the operator’s discretion

A community fundraiser may attract a lot of attention, and a printing services company can lend a hand with the marketing side of the equation. It can provide effective promotional projects that may be placed in prominent locations and distributed in other ways.

This step in helping Milford households to keep their sensitive information safe and secure is scheduled for Sunday, October 6. It will be up and running from 9:00 am until noon.
