The Rotary Club, which has chapters all over the world, has a motto of “service above self,” and one of its community service projects will safely dispose of sensitive documents next month.
The Milford Rotary Club will be hosting a charity shred, and it will provide a way to securely and safely dispose of any documents no longer needed. The fee starts at $5 for a bag of paper goods, and there are other options as well.
Those who would like to take advantage of the offer can bring their unwanted paperwork and also any electronics they would like to dispose of, and the collection point will be set up at 440 New Haven Avenue. The event listing suggests there may be special pricing available for those who would like to bring some smaller items for disposal.
To help ensure the event reaches its goals, it has a sponsorship program on offer. These start at $250, and any local businesses interested can call 203-874-3096. A poster printing company will be able to craft an assortment of effective marketing materials, and the price tag may be a good fit for a not-for-profit group with a tight budget.
The Milford Rotary Charity Shred will begin accepting items at 9:00 am on October 15. Everyone is welcome to take advantage of this chance to take a step in home security while doing a good turn for others.
