Milford residents invited to discover towns creepy side

Many towns have a colorful past, and a nighttime tour will prove that Milford is no exception.

A special late-night host ghost walk has been organized for the community, and it may be of interest to both those who enjoy learning about local history and thrill seekers alike. It will run for approximately 90 minutes, and the host for the occasion explained that it will be both entertaining and informative.

The participants in the excursion will stroll through the city’s downtown, listening to stories of its past. They will discover how a local island has been cursed at least three times, why Captain Stow has refused to leave his home for the past 300 years, as well as other folklore. The guide will lead the group by lantern light, and anyone who is interested may even be able to test out some of the paranormal investigation equipment in common use.

The organizer of the activity pointed out that COVID-19 prevention protocols will be followed, as face masks are mandatory. Stationery printers can prepare waiver Forms and other documents that can aid in taking care of the legal side of offering an event like this.

This special version of the Spirits of Milford Ghost Walk will be showcasing the community's creepy side on Friday, October 30. The ticket holders will set off from Hotchkiss Bridge on Helwig Street at 10:00 pm.
