Planting for wildlife can lead to a yard filled with beauty and life, and thanks to an upcoming sale, creating such a space will be easier for Milford gardeners.
CT Audubon will be the host for a plant sale pop-up filled with herbs, many of which will be attractive to butterflies and other pollinators. As they will all have a local provenance, they should perform well in the growing conditions found in the area, and there will be a wide selection of species to choose from.
Both one-gallon and four-inch sizes of potted herbs are available, although the larger size needs to be per-ordered. They are priced at $15 each, while the smaller ones will be on offer for $5 each. They will all be labelled, and the pre-ordered plants will be packed and ready for pick up. There will be personnel on hand to answer questions and aid in herb selection.
Horticultural sales are a popular choice for a springtime fundraiser, and a printing services company will be pleased to supply any printed items needed to make them a success. It will have options for a wide range of budgets, and can produce materials at short notice.
The 2022 Mother’s Day Herb Sale is set to take place on May 7. It will be held at 1 Milford Point Road.
