Later this month, Milford residents can find out if those trinkets and hand-me-downs in their homes are worth a little more than they expect.
The local library will be welcoming antiques, and downsizing expert Mike Ivankovich will be hosting an online program to help people find out if they have some hidden treasures in their home. Everyone can have up to two items evaluated, and these will be studied and given a tentative value.
The valuations will be given online using the Zoom platform, and once their pieces have been viewed, the participants will be invited to discover how they can be sold. The host, who participates in nearly 100 appraisals every year, will provide a variety of tips for selling antiques so that they people receive top value.
Many people are interested in learning more about the items in their home and unearthing a hidden gem or two, then discovering the next steps of turning their item into cash. A poster printing company will be able to offer many cost-effective ways of marketing this sort of function, and can also provide graphic design and other services.
The Milford Public Library has planned to host the “What’s it Worth” program on Wednesday, January 27. Additional details about how to join the meeting has been added to the city’s community website.
