Milford kids prepare for seasonal baking class

Milford’s junior bakers who register for an online class will learn how to whip up a batch of sweet treats in time for the Christmas week.

Kids who are in grades 5 to 12 can learn some new baking skills when they take part in a Zoom-based workshop. Instruction will be provided by registered dietitian Megan, who works with Food Explorers.

This interactive activity will walk the participants through the procedure to follow to make cinnamon rolls, and a list of the ingredients that are needed to complete the recipe has been provided. The learners are asked to make sure they have white sugar, cinnamon, butter, self-raising flour, milk, and powdered sugar, and anyone who likes the taste of vanilla will be able to add that as well. A rolling pin is also required.

A fun way to help the kids who take part in a session like this to keep on cooking is to supply them with a set of easy-to-prepare recipes, and a printing services company will be able to craft items like these.

The Milford Public Library has made arrangements to offer this activity on the evening of Thursday, December 17. More information about this activity has been added to the city’s website. This class will run for one hour, with a scheduled start time of 5:30 pm.
