Becoming a new dad can be both exciting and challenging, and Milford’s future fathers have been offered a chance to help them hit the ground running.
Yale New Haven Health has prepared an online class that will explore a variety of topics that may be on the minds of area dads-to-be. To help make it both accessible and safe for as many as possible, it will be hosted online, and there is room for up to 50 learners at a time.
During the presentation, the facilitator will discuss subjects ranging from providing support to a woman during the labor and delivery process, to care and feeding a newborn. Soothing a crying baby, developmental milestones to watch for, and positive discipline will be introduced as well, and tips for partner postpartum care and bonding with the new addition to the family are on the agenda as well.
Starting in the new year, those who are interested can choose a participation time that is best for them.
