Milford birders offers spots in local outing

Milford birding fans will soon be paying a visit to a local venue that has become popular with those hoping to spot both marine and terrestrial species.

Silver Sands State Park will soon be welcoming the participants in a birding outing, where the route followed will be flat and go along the shoreline. The runtime for the activity is approximately three hours, and everyone who plans on participating in the session will meet in the parking lot. Free to attend, the day has been organized by the Hartford Audubon Society.

During the outing, attendees can expect to spot a variety of species of sparrows, as well as sea ducks and even a rough-legged hawk. Warm clothing and sturdy walking shoes are recommended. The venue also boasts a boardwalk. Anyone with questions has been asked to call Maggie Peretto at 860-604-4903.

Nature-based activities encourage the public to get out and enjoy the world around them. Print shops can lend a hand in a variety of ways, including by offering marketing options such as flyer printing and other services. Many of these may be budget friendly and allow projects to be completed quickly.

This birding visit to a popular Milford venue will begin at 8:00 am on Sunday, March 24. Everyone is asked to gather in the parking lot before they hit the trails.
