Milford beer festival to boast German flavor

Several of Milford’s community service organizations have joined together to host a special event, and this popular activity will be celebrating its 32nd year.

The Devon Rotary Club, Literacy Volunteers of Southern Connecticut and the local Boys and Girls Club of Milford have teamed up to present the Milford Oktoberfest, and it will put beers crafted by area breweries front and center. It will be held at the Fowler Field Rotary Pavilion, and it promises to be a whole lot of fun.

The function, which has been modelled on a traditional German Oktoberfest, will offer a beer garden as well as lots of live entertainment. Tribus Beer Co., Dockside Brewery, and Milford Point brewing are just some of the companies that will be providing libations for the two day event. There will be an opportunity to purchase food, and it can be a fun way to reconnect with old friends.

The organizers of this sort of gathering often choose to distribute tasting glasses to the ticket holders. Items like these are obtainable at a printing services company, which will also be able to offer everything from banner printing to full size vehicle wraps for food trucks.

The 32nd annual Milford Oktoberfest will bring a taste of Germany to southern Connecticut on September 24th and 25th. It will be open on both days from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm.
