One of the first Signs of fall is the bright orange pumpkins that dot farmers’ fields around Milford. An area fair will be celebrating these colourful members of the squash family, offering fun for just about everyone.
For more than 50 years, the Seymour Pumpkin Festival has been a way for the local area to celebrate the transition from summer to fall, and there will be lots to see and do. An opportunity for public service organizations and charitable groups to introduce themselves to the public, and there will also be vendors, a carnival, and even a petting zoo.
The planners of the festival explained that the support of the community plays a big role in making the event possible, and they have put out a call for volunteers, sponsors and other support. Sponsorships start at $50, and each includes ways for a company or group’s Logo Design to be in the public eye.
As well as the sponsorships, the festivities will offer opportunities for volunteers to get involved. Helping hands are needed for everything from the planning committee to post celebration clean-up, and more details about this can be found on its website.
The 2020 Seymour Pumpkin Festival will be bringing the fun to a fall day on September 20. French Memorial Park will be the venue for the festivities.
