The bear essentials at this years Festival of Trees

This year marks the 28th anniversary of one of Northern Colorado’s holiday traditions known as the Festival of Trees.

The weeklong event is celebrated in Greeley and is supported by hundreds of volunteers, businesses, and decorators, all of whom come together to make the event a grand celebration for all in attendance. The holiday celebration presents a forest that comprises trees decorated for the Christmas season. Each day of the festival features different attractions, and this year, the festival will conclude with the Teddy Bear Bash.

On the final day, for two hours the event will cater to the delight of children who will have the opportunity to hang out with and take pictures with Christopher the Christmas Bear. Event organizers might benefit from Banners that map out the many attractions of the day. The kids will be able to get temporary tattoos, play games, meander through the Christmas Tree forest, enjoy a Nutcracker Dance recital, make buttons, fish in the Fish ‘n’ Hole, eat and drink refreshments, register to win a bicycle and a Teddy Bear, and even telephone the North Pole Hotline to relay their Christmas lists.

The grand finale of the festival will be when organizations, individuals, and businesses receive the St Nick’s Pick and Mrs. C’s Favorite Tree awards. The Teddy Bear Bash will commence today, December 3, in Greeley.
