Greeley swim-in cinema makes a splash
A summer celebration that combines a pool party with the fun of a drive-in movie is on the calendar for Greeley, and all ages are invited to enjoy the occasion.
The crew at Centennial Pool will be making a splash when they welcome one and all for its Swim-In Theater, and only 500 tickets will be released. They can be purchased at the Greeley Recreation Center, Discovery Bay Waterpark, the Family Funplex and the Pool itself.
The activity, which has been dubbed a “swim-in theater”, will see the film “The Princess Bride" screened for the swimmers. The movie will begin at dusk, and to add even more fun, everyone will receive a glow in the dark bracelet to wear. The concession stands will be open for anyone who would like a snack or drink , and all ages are welcome. Tickets start at $6.00 for adults and a discount will be available for seniors and kids under five. The pool is the city’s largest outdoor swimming site.
A pool-based event can be a fun way to beat the summer heat. A poster printing company will be able to prepare marketing materials that build the buzz about an upcoming local activity as well as small promotional products to hand out.
This combination of swimming and cinema is scheduled for July 1st. More details about the occasion can be found on the City of Greeley website.
