What's Happening in Greeley, CO…

Greeley pets offered low-cost vaccine clinic

A pop-up clinic will help to keep Greeley’s companion animals protected from rabies.

While many may consider rabies to be an illness of the past, it is still out there, and it can affect not only pets, but people and wildlife too. Rez Dawg Rescue has scheduled a low-cost vaccine clinic for the community next month. It will be open for four hours, and its organizers have requested that only healthy dogs take part.

The activity will be offered on a drive-through basis, and pets will need to remain in the vehicle. Parvo/distemper shots will be free, and rabies vaccines will cost $15 each. Kennel cough/bordetella immunizations will be given as well if requested, also priced at $15. A microchipping service may be accessed, and everyone has been asked to bring along their dog’s vaccine records.

A pop-up event may benefit from having custom signage prepared, and a poster printing company will be happy to help. It can offer both single-use and reusable options, and the latter may be a good fit for a not-for-profit group hoping to make its budget stretch.

This chance for Greeley pet parents to take an important step in ensuring their companion animal is safe will run from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 14. It will be held at Journey Christian Church.
