The second annual Torrance Summer Night Festival will be coming to the city beginning next month.
It will feature an array of movies, art, music, and live theatre, as well as award-winning bands. The festival will be held at the Wilson Park Amphitheater, so attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs, and picnic baskets for an enjoyable evening.
The presenting sponsor is the Torrance Refining Company LLC. Additional sponsors include Red Car Brewery, Discover Torrance, Providence Little Mary Company of Mary Medical Center, and Del Amo Crossing. Such sponsors may turn to local Print shops to help promote their summer festivals with Flyers, Posters, and other printed materials.
Shakespeare’s lost play Cardenio will be performed as part of Shakespeare by the Sea on Saturday July 27.
The concerts that will be presented include the following:
• a Taylor Swift tribute band on Saturday, June 1
• a Beatles tribute band on Saturday, June 8
• Soul 3 Sixty on Saturday, June 22
• A Woodstock tribute by Andy & Renee & Hard Rain on Saturday, June 29
There will be additional concerts in July and August.
There will also be a Family Karaoke Glow Party with a Disney theme at the George Nakano Theatre on Civic Center Drive. Attendees can arrive in costume as they dance, sing, and celebrate songs from Frozen, Coco, and the Little Mermaid on Saturday, August 10.
