A new training facility has opened its door in Torrance.
Universal Companies, which is a spa distributor based in Abingdon, VA., recently began to offer its first classes at the new Wellness and Beauty Learning Center.
The facility, which covers an area of 8,500 square feet, offers classes and other training in a variety of subjects that are geared at professionals in the field. These include instruction for estheticians, spa and med-spa practitioners, salon technicians, massage therapists, ‘solopreneurs’, and independent practitioners.
The official opening date for the center will not be until 2016, but some classes have already begun. Along with the classroom space, there are two spa treatment rooms that are fully equipped so they can give demonstrations in proper technique as well as hands-on training. There is also a meeting space for trade shows and other professional events as well as a showroom for the display of products, equipment, and also supplies.
