The Community Education Department of El Camino College in Torrance will be holding classes this summer for everyone in the community.
Classes will be live and online and last for one or two weeks. They will be held Monday through Friday with options for sessions in the morning or afternoon. Classes such as these often present many opportunities for flyer printing to promote them throughout the community.
The college is known for its Kid’s College which consists of classes, camps, and workshops for summer fun of a more serious nature. The emphasis is on inspiring a sense of imagination and wonder for learning. Its offers over 30 technology courses in such areas as virtual reality, creation of video games, application design, and coding.
Betty Sedor, Director of Community Education at El Camino College, said there are many creative and cutting-edge courses, which will provide them with real-world experiences and perhaps lead them to careers in the future.
There will also be camps for both children and their parents that can help parents to bond with their children. One of the camps will be Camp Chocolate, to be led by Romeo Garcia of Romeo Chocolates and a Master Chocolatier. Attendees will learn how to make the chocolate confections for which Romeo Chocolates is known.
Classes will run from Monday July 12 through Friday August 20.
