The Alpine Village in Torrance will be hosting Santa Claus next month.
On this exceptional occasion, children will be able to get their picture taken with the jolly fellow and there will be treats for both children and adults, including hot chocolate, stollen, krapfen, and German mulled wine. Specialty shops will also be opened for holiday shopping offering holiday gift baskets and advent Calendars, among other items. There will be live music and gingerbread houses for viewing and purchase.
The Alpine Village is a German market open all year round and offers a feeling of Bavaria in Southern California, with features including a traditional beer hall with a large selection of craft and imported beers, a restaurant serving German/American food, souvenirs, and many hard-to-find European foods. Special events and entertainment are presented from Thursday through Sunday.
It was established in 1968 and is a destination for shopping, entertainment, and dining. It hosts SoCal’s longest-running Oktoberfest celebration and is also known for its award-winning bakery and sausages, as well as its wide variety of German foods and products. Such markets can also feature Posters and other materials with a European flair created by local Print shops.
Santa Claus will be at the Village on Saturday, December 7 from 2:30 to 4:30 pm, situated in front of the market.
