The 12th annual Chalk Art Festival is taking place this September. It is a presentation of the Redondo Pier Association.
The festival theme is ‘Back to School’ and the competition is open to people of all ages. There are several categories in which people compete – professional, 18 and over, 14-17, 9-13, 5-8, 4 and under, team, and family. A panel will judge each work and award prizes to the first place winners in each category.
Artists and spectators will also be entertained by music provided by a DJ during the afternoon.
This event will give everyone the chance to let their inner artist out, and to see the kind of artistic talent there is in the area.
In order to attract as many competitors as possible, organizers will probably be advertising this event widely in the Redondo Beach and Torrance area. Local Stationery printers are often asked to provide items like Flyers, Brochures, and Postcards to market such events. All of these can then be easily distributed in the community for very little cost.
The Chalk Art Festival will be held on Redondo Beach Pier on September 6th from 12:00pm - 4:00pm. Admission is free and artists are advised to bring their own drawing materials.
