New concept in burger dining to open in Torrance

There will be a grand opening of the BurgerIM Torrance this weekend, with specialty foods and cocktails.

Owner Marlo Richardson started in the restaurant business in 2010 with Berri’s Pizza. She is an entrepreneur with a background in public service, and hopes to establish partnerships within the City of Torrance.

BurgerIM, which means “many burgers” in Hebrew, is a fast-casual restaurant chain. It also offers catering services to both residents and businesses. Mini-burgers made from three-ounce patties are sold, with 11 different types from which to choose, including veggie, wagyu beef, falafel, and salmon. Guests can choose a single, double, trio or 16-pack of patties and customize each one with different toppings, sauces, and buns. All dishes are made to order. BurgerIM also offers salads, chicken wings, soft drinks, and milkshakes.

Richardson says the Torrance store will be open from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm, but will be extending the hours, adding alcoholic beverages to menu and focusing on service to the community. She also plans to open more shops in the Los Angeles and maybe other areas.

The grand reopening will be held on November 24 from 4:00 until 9:00 pm.
