What's Happening in Torrance, CA…

New bus service to come to Torrance

Torrance will now have intercity bus service from FlixBus.

This new service is the result of a partnership between the city and FlixBus, and is designed to expand transportation options throughout Southern California. The home for the new service in Torrance will be the Mary K. Giordano Regional Transit Center and will provide residents of South Bay with an affordable and convenient option for travel to major destinations.

There will be direct access to San Diego for day trips and two trips per day on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to downtown Los Angeles, with one trip on Tuesday. Flyer printing can be used to provide more details on schedules and fares for such new services.

Head of corporate affairs for Flix North America, Karina Frayter, said that it is important for improving mobility in the region by expanding access to transportation in the South Bay. Frayter added that residents of Torrance will now have an affordable and much needed alternative to driving and a stress-free way to travel to San Diego and Los Angeles.

Director of Torrance Transit, Kim Turner, said that this partnership with FlixBus enables the city to increase the options for transportation that benefit both visitors and residents. Turner added that this ensures there is a better connection between Torrance and important destinations in Southern California, and travel is more sustainable and convenient.
