New buildings celebrated at college in Torrance

A Registration and Resource Fair and ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at El Camino College in Torrance as it celebrates its new Pool Classroom Building and Administration Building.

These events are designed to highlight these newest buildings at the college and provide an overview of the offerings there. They will also include support for registration so students can take courses during eight weeks of the spring 2023 semester, or apply for the summer and fall semesters.

The Pool Classroom Building spans over 81,000 square feet and has office space, classrooms, and two indoor pools for both athletic competitions and instructional use. The Health Sciences and Athletics Division office is also housed in the building.

The Administration Building covers 27,000 square feet and has office space for administrators of the college, the meeting room for the Board of Trustees, and houses the office of Marketing and Communications and Institutional Research and Planning.

The event will take place on Monday, March 27. At 1:00 pm, the Registration and Resource Fair will open followed by the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Pool Classroom Building at 1:30 pm. There will then be tours of the building for the next hour. At 2:30 pm will be the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Administration Building, after which there will be refreshments. Local printing services are often hired for their flyer printing capabilities to help promote such special events.
