Improved rankings and recognitions for hospital in Torrance

The magazine Newsweek has recognized Torrance Memorial Medical Center as one of its World’s Best Hospitals for this year.

Torrance Memorial has been ranked as 10th in the state and 39th in the country, and it is now among the top 150 to 250 hospitals in the world out of thousands of other qualified hospitals and healthcare organizations.

Such recognitions can call for Stationery printers to make updates to Letterheads and other corporate materials to highlight updates in rankings and standings.

Newsweek teamed up with Statista Inc., which is a leading industry ranking and statistics portal provider, to present this prestigious award. The two organizations collaborated to develop a methodology that ensures rankings are valid and of high quality. The evaluation uses three sources of data: patient experience, several medical key performance indicators, and peer recommendations of hospitals.

President and CEO of Torrance Memorial, Criag Leach, said that this recognition is a great honor and speaks to the commitment of everyone in the organization to providing the highest-quality medical care to the community, meaning residents do not need to leave the South Bay area to find the best possible healthcare.

Torrance Memorial was founded in 1925. A provider of comprehensive medical services, it offers and integrated system of physicians to coordinate communications and provide a continuum of care.
