The Long Beach Comic and Horror Con is taking place over two days this month.
This annual event brings comic book fans and creators together to discuss the art in a series of panels and to simply have fun together. This year, artists and writers such as Cecil Castellucci, Amanda Conner, Tom Hodges, and Raychul Moore will be on hand to demonstrate their work, sign autographs, and talk with their fans.
The convention will also feature a cosplay contest hosted by Nerds Like Us. Participants will compete for such prizes as Best Villain, Judge's Choice, and Best in Show. There will also be a vendors’ room featuring small publishers, comic book sellers, video game producers, and action figure merchandisers. Artists Alley, meanwhile, will feature art work for sale and artist demonstrations.
The vendors taking part in this year's convention, several traveling from nearby cities such as Torrance, may decide to invest in display materials from local Print companies. This may include Signs, Posters, and Banners designed to draw attention to a booth.
The Long Beach Comic and Horror Con is being held at the Long Beach Convention Center from September 27 to 28, beginning at 10:00 am each day. Admission is $45 for a weekend pass, $30 on Saturday, and $20 on Sunday; professional passes are $20.
